FAQs on the SunPower Bankruptcy:
What All Bay Customers Need to Know

The SunPower bankruptcy has left many of our customers wondering what to do. As a SunPower dealer, All Bay Solar would like to reassure all of our customers who have SunPower systems that we will continue to be your first line of support.

In that sense, nothing has changed. The products we installed for you were and are of the highest quality. We installed them according to the highest industry standards and stand behind their performance.

While the situation is in flux, here’s what we know right now. We will update you as we receive more information.

How will my SunPower warranty be handled going forward?

For SunPower panels, the manufacturer Maxeon will cover the warranty for US installations. In order to change your panel warranty from Sunpower to Maxeon, simply fill out the form at this link.

Regarding SunPower Sunvault batteries, we have not received any specifics at this time. For the latest warranty updates, check the SunPower website.

How long will my panel warranty last?

SunPower panels carry a 25-year warranty. Check your warranty in your system contract and deduct the time since you had them installed to know how long you have left in your warranty.

What about the other equipment in my solar installation?

Your solar system includes equipment made by other manufacturers, who carry their own warranties, for example Enphase and Tesla. Both Enphase and Tesla have stated that they will continue to cover their products under their regular warranties.

What’s going to happen to SunPower monitoring?

We do not know the answer to this question at present. If you want to continue to monitor the performance of your system, we are suggesting that customers install an Enphase Envoy system. This way there will be no gap in your monitoring in case the SunPower system is no longer supported.

What if we’ve installed a Tesla or Enphase battery?

Tesla and Enphase will continue to cover their products under their regular warranties.

All Bay Solar can answer any questions about the performance of your solar system and help you with maintenance issues as well. Please reach out to us at: info@allbaysolar.com
